develop, recognizing that patterns of learning
and development vary individually within and
across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional,
and physical areas, and designs and implements
developmentally appropriate and challenging
learning experiences.

Artifact

Attached above is a list of resources that can be used, by a teacher, to create a lesson and teach about the topic of embryonic development. Included in this list are: several videos, articles, a visual respresntation, and a podcast. Each of these resources have a short description and a quantitive reading score with a recommended grade level.

I chose this artifact to represent Standard 1 because I think this artifact is written in a way that can develop students learning abilities through the use of multiple learning styles. This artifact has videos, articles, and podcasts that can be used to teach students about embryonic development. This guide also brings up a modern topic of stem cell research, and with that topics popularity it can be the subject to the formation of many creative assignments each of which can be adapted to a student’s earning style. Also, the artifact showed me that topics work best when they can become more individualized and adapted to a student’s learning style. It showed that learning with different types of sources can provide you and student with different viewpoints and can help the teacher create developmentally appropriate and challenging projects.

Physics Pre-assessment Kahoot

Attached is a review game that will assess students to see where they are with previously taught lessons and information. Using this game and the data that it collects from student’s answers a teacher would be able to create a lesson that is more tailored to student’s previous knowledge. This will allow teacher’s to meet students where they are developmentally, and academically,

Universe Summative

This summative is meant to assess kids based on their understanding of gravity and how it affects other celestial bodies. This assessment meets kids in all areas of development due to the freedom the students have to show gravitational relationship between two celestial bodies. Many students made physical models, animations, presentations, verbal presentations, posters, and pictures/drawings. Kids were able to create a project based on their strengths and interests while still sticking to rigorous guidelines.
